Pixel Watch will last “up to a day” on a single charge

The Google Pixel Watch is a highly predictable watch and is expected to change more users’ minds about using WearOS. The latest report comes from 9to5Google, which cites a source providing information about the expected battery life of the recently unveiled Pixel Watch.

According to the source, the Google Pixel Watch is expected to last up to a day on a single charge. This figure does not represent Google’s official battery numbers, as the device has not yet been commercialized, so the officially announced battery life could change once the watch is released.

The Google Pixel Watch has been revealed to have a 300 mAh battery according to another report from the same outlet. This is presumed to be for the base model and the battery size of an alleged LTE variant is not yet known. It was reported this month that the Pixel Watch would use an older 2018 Exynos 9110 chipset with a 10nm process – the same chipset found in the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2.

Lasting “up to a day” on a charge is common for modern WearOS devices. Fossil Gen 6 watches (like the Skagen Falster Gen 6) are intended to last no more than a day per charge. There are certainly WearOS devices that last up to three days, such as the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, but this one has a much more powerful battery and a more massive appearance.

The Google Pixel Watch is expected to arrive later this year along with the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in the fall.
